I’ve fixed the MSI installer issue on many xp/vista machines with little hassle by installing the 4.5 MSI from microsoft, but a customer had brought me a 7 machine suffering the MSI issues, and after following various microsoft guides and advice from other forums- not to mention all the usual tricks of registery edits and reregistering the MSI server via an elevated cmd prompt – nothing had worked!
Then I found your registery fixes, ran them and bam! Problem fixed.

I found an essential reg. File for fix problems with Msci but I don’t know how to use, download each a must downloaded part by part, or all of them in one place is a problem. So help how to download and use each after the downloading.

A very good site that could save my life … on a Vista computer.
I have to repair a Vista computer that was hit by a virus problem. Security Center and Windowsupdate no longer works. I saw that the keys of the registry have been erased. Have you the keys of the registry to repair BITS and wscsvc for Vista?

Suggestion – Windows defender will not run getting ”Access is denied. (Error Code 0x80070005)’ messages. If you try to start it from services you get “‘Windows could not start the Windows Defender service on Local Computer.Error 126: The specified module could not be found.'”
Defender should be able to start, only Sophos AV installed which should be compatible (apparently). This occurred after a virus on the PC.

Downloaded #14 to fix Background Intelligent Transfer Service. I was slightly hesitant as i searched for hours for a fix with no result but it worked a dream.
#14 BITS restoration worked like a charm. You have to download and open file, then restart computer. I was scared but based on positive reviews, went ahead. The author ramesh srinivasan .. I looked up and he appears ultra qualified, high integrity and intelligence; apparently with philanthopic instincts. I am extremely grateful.. he is an asset to the all mankind.
