With the implementation of Material Design in recent desktop versions of Google Chrome, the dark color scheme has been applied for incognito mode. Some users still prefer to have the usual, light theme for incognito mode, but there is no built-in option or chrome://flags
setting for this.
Using the Material Incognito Light Theme available at Chrome Web Store, you can change the Chrome incognito color scheme throughout the browser to light instead of the pitch dark color. [via Reddit]
I’m sure many incognito mode surfers will find this theme useful. To revert back to the default dark theme, open Chrome Settings, and under Appearance, click Reset to default theme.

I did the reverse: I added “Material Dark” theme to Chrome. 😉
I like this Material Dark theme: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/material-dark-mkbhd/iiplegjeipnjdpgkeccfccnahofbckad
Nice contrast level. The other one next to this is not that good… can’t know which tab we’re in.
