“Show Most Used Apps” Setting Greyed out in Windows 10

The “Show most used apps” toggle switch may be grayed out on the Personalization → Start page. This is due to a Privacy setting that turns off the ability to track recent programs.

3. Enable the option “Let Windows track app launches to improve Start and search results”

4. Click Home, click Personalization, Start.

You should be able to enable the “Show most used apps” setting now.

Important

The above setting may also be grayed out if you have enabled the “Prevent changes to Taskbar and Start Menu Settings” group policy or its equivalent registry value.
