KB5031356 and KB5032189 Fail to install 0x800f0922

When you try to install the October 2023 or November 2023 Cumulative Update KB5031356 (19045.3570) or KB5032189 (19045.3693), the update attempts to install and then rolls back the installation. The CBS logs contain the following entries:

The standard fixes for 0x800F0922 may not help.

Cause

The above issue happens if Microsoft Edge has been uninstalled from the computer. As a result, the update fails to service the Edge browser.

Resolution

Please reinstall Edge to resolve the issue.
